Viagra Pills Seized by Border Authority

Border authorities seized about 55,000 suspected Viagra pills hidden in a truck’s spare tire.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found the pills on Dec. 4 in a truck crossing from Mexico into the United States at Hidalgo International Bridge.

The 55,181 blue pills were found in 29 packages.

A sample was sent to a lab to confirm that the pills are Viagra, an anti-impotence medication available only by prescription.

If the pills are real, it will be one of the largest seizures of a prescription-only medication in South Texas. That’s what Hidalgo Port Director David Higgerson said in a statement on Monday.

Viagra and Cialis Save Marriages

The Telegraph reports on how Viagra and Cialis saved a marriage:

“If you have been married for 30 years, you attribute it to old age. Your hearing goes, your teeth go and you put it down to a natural process. At the time I was travelling a lot and I would make excuses to stay away.”

When seeing his GP about gout, he summoned the courage to mention his troubled sex life. It was a throwaway remark as he opened the door to leave. Dr Pat Wright recommenced the consultation, which ended with a prescription for Viagra.

Mr Steel went home and threw the pills on to the hall table, telling his wife: “I went away with gout and came back with these.”

But the prescription worked extremely well.

“I was also pleased to know it was something physically wrong with me rather than emotionally,” he said.

“After taking Viagra, I had no trouble but I had only four hours to use it or lose it.”

He has now switched to long-acting Cialis, taking three tablets weekly. This allows Mr Steel to have sex without time constraint.

“I would urge any man – and there are hundreds out there like me – to go along to their doctor. There’s a treatment. It works. So why not get it?

Cialis – Wonder Sex Drug Tops New Inventions of 2003

Lilly ICOS LLC invented a love pill that guarantees 36 hours of sex. So, Viagra has got a really strong competitor. Cialis, a European miraculous pill is entering the US market. The French call the pill “Le Weekender” and say Cialis works wonders with men. The new pill allows men suffering from erection disfunction to make love within 36 hours while Viagra helps prolong the pleasure for 4 hours only. Another advantage of Cialis is that the pill can be taken on a full stomach. Really strong potency is guaranteed in half an hour after the pill is taken. The Time states, the only thing left to do is to invent a pill that would guarantee sexual desire for women every day.

It is incredible but women nowadays can press the button of a mechanism that helps experience emotions similar to sexual excitement.

Levitra to Sponsor Skins Game

GlaxoSmithKline and Bayer AG said Tuesday they have reached an agreement with ABC Sports under which ED Drug Levitra will be the title sponsor for the 2003 Skins Game.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Levitra is a new erectile dysfunction drug co-marketed by Bayer and GSK, a London-based drug company that has co-U.S. headquarters in Philadelphia and Research Triangle Park. GSK has 4,000 Triangle employees, while Bayer has more than 2,000 Triangle workers in its Research Triangle Park-based Bayer Biological Products and Bayer CropScience divisions.

The Skins Game traditionally is one of the highest rated golf telecasts.

ABC Sports will televise the Levitra Skins Game on Nov. 29 and 30. This year’s contest will feature Annika Sorenstam, Fred Couples, Phil Mickelson and Mark O’Meara. The $1 million event will be played at the Trilogy Golf Club in La Quinta, Calif.

Earlier this year, Bayer and GSK announced a multiyear sponsorship with the National Football League, which includes exclusive rights in the men’s health category for Levitra.

“The Levitra Skins Game serves as the ideal complement to our NFL sponsorship,” said David Pernock, a GSK senior vice president. “Entering the world of golf offers us a new and exciting way to expand upon the breadth and depth of the awareness of Levitra.”

Cialis, 36 Hour Erection Pill, to Take on Viagra

The market for drugs to cure erectile dysfunction is being widened to include a tablet that can last up to 36 hours.

Cialis, a new treatment for erectile dysfunction not yet available in the United States, is the product of a joint venture between ICOS Corporation and Eli Lilly and Company.

Erectile dysfunction is the consistent inability to attain and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. It affects an estimated 152 million men and their partners worldwide and more than 30 million men in the United States. It is often caused by physical conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.

Does Viagra Lead to Divorce?

Viagra, the little blue pill that works wonders for impotent men, has also contributed to marital breakdown for some couples, say professionals who have witnessed the drug’s effect on relationships.

Divorce lawyers in the United States, say Viagra is a factor in a surprising number of their cases. Most involve men older than 50 who, spurred on by a new sense of manhood, cheat on their wives.

Raoul Felder, a New York divorce lawyer, said Viagra factored in 70 cases his firm has handled.

“Older men are able to perform, so they are going elsewhere – they’re seeking younger, greener pastures. They don’t put Viagra down as the reason for divorce, but it is certainly one of the factors,” he said.

“I have had it the other way too – where, with older couples, the woman does not want sex.”

Cialis Erection Drug Tops Viagra

Patients suffering from erectile dysfunction prefer rival drugs over the pioneering treatment, Pfizer’s Viagra, two studies to be presented at a meeting of sexual medicine researchers showed.

Cialis, a drug marketed by Lilly-ICOS, a joint venture between Eli Lilly and ICOS Corp, emerged as the top option in one trial, and Levitra, sold by Bayer and GlaxoSmithKline led its rivals in the other.

The studies are to be presented at the sixth congress of the European Society for Sexual Medicine in Istanbul on Monday.

The results are likely to give the companies ammunition in their fierce battle for market share with Pfizer’s Viagra, the first drug of its kind on the market that revolutionised the treatment of erectile dysfunction, or impotence.

Excerpts from a study of 150 patients carried out by Hamburg urologist Hartmut Porst showed that 45 percent of patients preferred Cialis, 30 percent Levitra and 13 percent Viagra.

Twelve percent had no preference.

“The overwhelming majority of the patients prefer the two new drugs with tadalafil being ahead due to its long duration of action,” the study said.

Tadalafil is the name of the active chemical in Cialis.

Another study, led by Frank Sommer at the University Medical Centre in Cologne, showed that 43 percent of men in a high dose, three-way preference trial preferred Levitra.

Forty percent of the patients preferred Cialis and 17 percent preferred Viagra.

the Definition of Viagra

NY Times Reports that the Webster Dictionalry had officially defined Viagra:
“New words that are trademarks, like Viagra, require a double look-up. The famous blue pill is defined as “a preparation of the citrate of sildenafil.” Only when you look up sildenafil do you learn that Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Mr. Morse said the dictionary editors weren’t trying to be coy, but were adhering to limitations imposed by trademark agreements. “This double look-up has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with trademarks,” he said.”

Viagra Induced Erections

My husband is 38 and has had psychological impotence for about a
year now. He says that he is constantly thinking about it. He
fears intimacy with me because of how upset I get when he
can’t “perform”. I guess I’m not very good at being understanding.
His tests have come back normal also. The dr. suggested counciling,
but I am so humiliated that I can’t imagine talking about this face
to face with someone. Our biggest fear is that this is a never
ending problem. The viagra works pretty well for him too, but it
makes me feel like I am not desirable anymore, it’s just a pill
making him erect. Do you have a wife? I’d like to hear how she
feels. It’s hard not to have anyone who understands this.
